Great place, beautiful people living there, funny pool, i you want you can do camping all services and you can watch turtles carefully. We stay for one night and pay 800 pesos for 3 adults and 2 children in the camping area. We saw people cleaning the beach since 6 am and security 24 hrs. We enjoy our stay so much. Thanks

Hidden gem near Playa Del Carmen that sits right on the Paamul beach. It is a great place if you're looking for something that is not the typical mega all inclusive resort. It's like a boutique hotel - very small - probably just a couple dozen rooms. All rooms are good sized with a balcony and all have a direct expansive view of the azure ocean. The hotel is very clean. Practical, minimum and comfortable furnishings give it a specially nice touch. There is an attached restaurant that serves breakfast and it is included in the price of the hotel booking. The restaurant has excellent options for lunch and dinner at a really good price - we ate many meals there. The hotel and restaurant staff are super friendly and great at what they do. They have satellite TV that wasn't working when we went - but it's a crime to watch TV in such a beautiful place anyway :-). The WiFi worked great. Tip - The Paamul beach itself is very small, but it is one of the few places on Riviera Maya where you can directly swim to the coral gardens and the reef. One of the best places I've been for snorkeling and paddle boarding. Tip - The pool they have is attached to the restaurant and is small. It can be a place for kids to play or for cooling off. Tip - It's easy to get to from the airport - about 1 hour all on the 307. A rental car is handy because its 20 minutes from Playa which has a variety of dining options and activities. There's free parking.

Beautiful, uncrowded beach with coral reef limestone outcrops and coral sand, delicious food and drinks, all combine for a wonderful day of sunny swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing.

The hotel itself was good, The rooms are clean & comfortable, my only complaint was that not all the rooms had the same amenities, we asked to switch to another room & were quickly accommodated. The wedding ceremony set up was beautiful, the crew was there early cleaning out the seaweed that had accumulated. Once the Gazebo was up our wedding planner did the rest to make it look amazing!! The restaurant on the other hand was a complete disappointment & disaster for our wedding reception. The Hotel & Restaurant are Run by seperate owners. We were promised surf & turf & premium open bar for three hours at a cost of $100 per person. The staff never asked our guest-14 how we wanted our steaks cooked. When the food arrived, to our surprise it was just being passed around like “who wants medium well” “well done” etc. Needless to say they were all “well done-over cooked”, very hard to chew for being a Picanha which is normally very tender. For the owner & chef of the restaurant being Brazilian you would think they’d master this Brazilian dish. Along with the Picanha came a few pieces of shrimp, that summed up the surf & turf. Not my idea of surf & turf! My husband had to send back his steak & as the guests chewed their way through their steaks he waited for his for 20-30 minutes. No one was offered dessert or coffee afterward. To make matters worse when we ordered drinks we were told that the premium liquor was out & we had to settle with the cheap liquor. We tried to make the best of the evening, just enjoy & dance with our guests but felt extremely uncomfortable as all the wait/restaurant staff-10 men were just leaning against the bar or sitting on the ground with their hands on their chin staring at us as we danced. We felt rushed & just creeped out by them watching us to the very end. When we reached out to the owner/chef of the Restaurant, he claimed that his steak was cooked to perfection earlier that day. Wow, glad his steak was done right, being that he’s the chef & probably cooked it himself. He lives in the property & being a small reception you think would he would have supervised his staff to make sure everything was cooked to perfection, at the end the dinner was ruined and you only have one wedding reception. The wait staff lack the training for an event like a wedding. Further into the conversation with the Owner he wouldn’t even let my husband talk. Got very defensive while my husband was only trying to explain to him so that next time other guest don’t experience the same & as a learning experience. He Claimed that our guests should have asked for dessert & coffee, not my experience when I’ve gone to weddings. The staff comes around & offers desert & coffee. Again lack of training for his staff. As someone who responds to reviews and complaints for my job one of the first things we do is listen to the customer, take responsibility & try to make it better or make up for it. Instead he threw in our face many things he claimed he did for us, which he didn’t, it was the owner of the hotel who did it without hesitating and without complaints. We ate at the restaurant during our stay. For the most part it was pricy but ok, the chilaquiles were a disappointment. Fresh fish was great! My recommendation: stay as far away from this restaurant if you’re going to have an event there! The owner over promises & under delivers, I wish our wedding reception had turned out diffidently, too bad because we were so excited for this special night. We were so disappointed, what’s worse is that our guest left with the same feeling after traveling so far & spending to come all the way to Paamul for a less than stellar wedding reception. He may be a Chef/Owner but lacks hospitality experience, he needs to put his guests first, listen to them & make things better. He did none, His lack of professionalism & manner of handling this situation was worse than the wedding reception, dinner & drinks! Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Obrigada…

Nice view of the beach. Decent food, but canned beer is 65 pesos...a bit steep.

This is a great place to get away from the crowds. It's a small beach with a few umbrellas. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is yummy. Prices are reasonable. Service could be better. We had to keep tracking down servers to get food and drinks. Don't expect them to come check on you. We were glad to find this place and get away from Playa for a much more relaxed feel.
