★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large place with too many stairs for everywhere. There should be a better distribution of vans for transport. It's essential to consider the mobility for handicapped people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean place. Comfy beds. Beautiful views. Gorgeous beach with lifeguard. Delicious food. Keep this all in mind because the check in process is a nightmare. They have poor communication when visiting. They ask for payments 3 days prior after not hearing from them in months. Front desk is super annoying. But the servers are amazing. They cater hand and foot. They are friendly and very hard working people. They gave us a better room once we saw a bunch of flies in our room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were guests of long term “owners” who bought into this resort over 30 years ago on the point system, which doesn’t exist today. But what does exist is a perfect paradise on an un-crowded bay in Ixtapa Mexico, with clean beaches and wonderful ocean water. There are several pool areas at the resort along with five restaurants and plenty of sun. Buy the all inclusive package, which includes all five “on-site” restaurants, most menu items, decent wine and well drinks. They don’t get fancy on fine scotch, vodka or bourbons but it worked out well for us. The inclusive packages cost $45 per day, per person, in Feb 2022. We had spent that amount by mid afternoon and didn’t slow down until midnight.
The entertainment was often “mind blowing” with different musical arts, at their best.
The resort is build on a steep hill and they have a convenient gondola which goes back and forth all day from 7 am to midnight. Closed on Wednesday for maintenance, the gondola is replaced by many vehicles which ferry people from point A to point B easily enough. Walking is an option as well, if you don’t mind steep sidewalks or stairs. We walked 155 stairs and some sidewalks to get from the beach to our top tier accommodation.
There are different levels of wonderful rooms and we were almost top tier. A newer building next to ours was even better. We had a small infinity pool on our outdoor patio, which overlooked the beach and ocean. It was to die for. We were in a one bedroom with two bed/couches in the living room and 2 bathrooms which had fabulous open air showers. I could look at the ocean while showering and stare at the ocean with complete privacy. The bonus was a small gecko that lived on a plant outside the shower and would come in sometimes. So cute.
There is a small grocery store where we purchased fine champagne, expensive tequila, margarita mix and a plethora of snacks or t-shirts.
The laundry service was unbelievably inexpensive and they folded and cleaned my clothes better than I would have.
Taxi service was available to go to “Zihua” for less than $10 one way. Downtown Ixtapa was a short 10 minute walk, but who needs to leave the resort, too much, if you are looking to just relax. We did enjoy a day of deep sea fishing, catching too many tuna, a drive toward Acapulco, visiting pyramids, a sunset cruise and the Pacifica Resort sister location in Zihuatanejo. The Pacifica Resort Zihua restaurants were also free on our all inclusive plan and their views much more spectacular, if that is even possible.
You C a n. N o t. M i s s. With this place. Just remember, we were at the top of the accommodation food chain in a beautiful room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Weather was beautiful. Measures in place to prevent the spread of infection. Staff great. Nice high end resort to stay at. Get used to a different pace- the "Mexican Minute", things break or don't work properly. All part of the experience.
