Place is a scam. They added more money to our bill without saying anything When we caught the guy said it was tip for the service and bar. So then add it to the receipt don't just blindly add it. Service was horrible too we ordered another round of beers that weren't received.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place is a complete scam!!! Our bill was 470, but we were given 640. I asked if it was a joke, and the guy told me they included tip and IVA taxes. In the menu it clearly said "LA PROPINA ES NO OBLIGATORIA". Dont get me wrong I would love to pay the tip, but no when I am robbed in the broad day light. If you were given a wrong bill CALL THE POLICE!!!

SCAM -- avoid at all costs. Son unos SINVERGÜENZAS y espero que el SAT los investigüe. Merry Christmas to Pacos, here is my first google review, to highlight a Mexico City scam that the authorities should investigate. This place should be shut down for fraud. We ordered a black tea and three black coffees, which, according to the menu should have been 30 pesos each. When the bill came I was shocked they had charged us more than double what the menu prices said -- the total was 320 pesos. 50 for the tea and 70 each for the coffees. I live in Mexico city and know this was way too high so I pushed back. When I looked a little closer, the bill actually had a sticker over the prices of each individual items, suggesting the prices had been increased over what someone originally wrote down. The waiter made up some excuse about using the menu from downstairs and that the prices in their restaurant were actually higher, but I said you cannot charge more than what your menu says without checking with the client. He went back to check with his boss while I waited in disbelief and he finally returned to the table saying the new total was 120 pesos. I gave him a 200 peso bill and while waiting for the change I went to explain it to the lady behind the bar who was counting out the change. She asked what the problem was, and showed me the bill, but by that point, the sticker had been removed, and she claimed they were in fact only charging what the menu prices said. She said if there was any discrepancy it was the waiter scamming HER. I am convinced they were both in on it, and based on reading the other reviews, it seems to be common practice at that restaurant. I will never go back and I hope they get investigated by the Tax Authorities. I was embarrassed for Mexico, because we had guests in town, and we were trying to show them what a nice country this was. I am so glad we did not order anything more than four hot drinks. Needless to say, zero tip. The only tip is to avoid this place.

Stay away. They will hustle you off the street. You cannot actually see this place from the square as it's above the roof. The view is still good but it's a scam! I got a rum and coke (cuba libre) and they charged me 280 pesos which is about $14 US dollars...about 3 times more than even in the US...eff this place. If you go to the very top floor and look over the green metal roof, walk away!

This place was awful. We were invited up by a recruiter on the street, we wanted a view and some good food so we agreed. Service was so slow, food was even worse. Bland, no flavor and really greasy. They overcharged our bill and added gratuity to it without asking. Our bill totaled $695 but they insisted we pay $895 for tax and tip. Stay away!!!

Scam! Completely agree with all comments! Had two beers and two tacos = $370 but when bill arrived it was $750!!! We asked for the menu and showed the waiter what we ordered and what we were prepared to pay! They took the receipt and knocked it back to $450. Massively over priced and said it was for a tip as they do not make enough to live on!!! Extortion completely, compared to a cafe in Paris this was 3 times more, and a pathetic service!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME AND MONEY AT THIS PLACE. The service is horrible, the staff is rude and the drinks are liquid, overpriced trash. I never write reviews, but I feel like I would be doing a disservice to humanity if I didn’t warn everybody about this dumpster fire. They scam you and up charge everything when it comes down to ordering, so the prices on the menu are not what they really are. They forgot two of the items we ordered and the margaritas were just mango water with salt. After the terrible experience, they still had the audacity to add a 15% tip to the bill. We paid what it was for the drinks and left.

The beers were stale the tacos were better in Canada. I was charged 100 pesos per beer. 120 pesos for really bad tacos. Found a bug on my table. I felt scammed just like the other reviewers. They could not accept my American Express even though they brought me the bill in a American Express folder. Urinals full of ice. They drag you in off the street like they are taking you to Porrua. 350 Pesos 3 tacos 2 beers....very pushy waiter trying to get me to order appetizers. DO NOT GO HERE. Unless you like this behavior.
