Service was ok. I didn't try the food but it has a nice terrace and is one of the bars close to downtown Oaxaca

Very nice sitting in the roof looking down on the street with a drink.

Beautiful space. Attentive and friendly service. Nice drink options. Tasty dishes, but overall very limited food menu. On the expensive side.

Terrible experience. Hostess was rude and arrogant, pretending to have a busy place when it wasn’t, and limiting our options depending on whether we’d consume certain items on the menu or not. We were overcharged when the bill came and when we told the waiter about it they went to the extent of checking the CCTV to see if we were lying. It really is a shame because the place and atmosphere was really cool. Avoid this place.

Very limited menu. The nice terrace is assigned as smoking area leaving the first floor (less appealing area)to non smokers. Food was good, service is good but overall overpriced compared to the many restaurant options Oaxaca offers.

Good cocktails. Good food. Lovely roof top dining? Very reasonably priced. They have a appetizer that is a bowl of cheese, avocado, and crickets (lots of cheese, no avocado, some crickets)...please note, this is dish is a fantastic amount of cheese.

I wanted to like it there! The look of the place and the mezcal brand is very cool. I had been eyeing it every time I walked by it. We arrived on a slow weeknight for dinner. There were only 4 other patrons on the entire place. We chose to go on the rooftop. I requested a gin drink from the drink menu. When it arrived, the drink was beautiful but it was all syrup -super sweet and not a hint of gin. I told the waiter if my drink could be fixed and he said all they could do was to add water (???). Since they couldnt make it better I returned it right away, two sips in. I had already ordered garnachas and the quesillo with chorizo. The garnachas were really good BUT, they were four and the size of a 25cent coin for 180 pesos. The quesillo was very hard to swallow and much more if you are left with nothing to drink. This restaurant doesnt even offers a glass of water when you sit down and after returning the drink our waiter pretty much never came back to us. So, I had the luxurious garnachas, two bites of rubbery cold un-swallowable queso and requested the ticket. They charged me for the drink! I flat out had to tell the waiter "I am not paying for the drink" and only then it was deducted. I left there so thirsty, to go eat somewhere else. Luckily for us, there are so many incredible places to go in OAX. I will not return to Pal' Dolor. The experience there actually gave me dolor in my belly and pocket. So all in all, something good at this restaurant is the graphic design so I will give it 2 stars.

The restaurant itself is very lovely, and the waiter was very pleasant. However, the dishes were disappointing. It is quite pricey and highly recommended online, but unless they somehow redid the menu I don't see myself returning. The view is also quite disappointing, you won't be getting the sunset shots you thought you would be.
