Es un edificio histórico de Pátzcuaro que hoy alberga un centro artesanal propiedad de la Comunidad Purépecha, a donde acuden Indígenas de las diferentes comunidades de la Región a vender sus artesanías.
Esta Casona, es considerada la construcción civil más antigua de Pátzcuaro. Antiguamente fue la Casa de Don Antonio Huitziméngari de Mendoza, quien fuera Gobernador de Pátzcuaro e hijo del último Caltzonzin. (Emperador del Imperio Purépecha).
The Huitziméngari Palace in Pátzcuaro, is located in the Plaza Vasco de Quiroga.
It is a historic building in Pátzcuaro that today houses an artisan center owned by the Purépecha Community, where Indigenous people from the different communities of the Region come to sell their handicrafts.
This Casona is considered the oldest civil construction in Pátzcuaro. Formerly it was the House of Don Antonio Huitziméngari de Mendoza, who was Governor of Pátzcuaro and son of the last Caltzonzin. (Emperor of the Purepecha Empire).

La calidad de las tallas en madera, de los bordados en tela son inmejorable y además continúan los diseños tradicionales de la etnia purépecha
Apart from being a historical construction, it is the home of a cooperative of artisans from the Ribera del Lago de Pátzcuaro that is dedicated to making known-trading the traditional products of each incorporated town.
The quality of the wood carvings, of the fabric embroidery are unbeatable and also continue the traditional designs of the Purépecha ethnic group.
