Cuautitlán está localizado en la parte norte central del Estado de México; colinda al norte con los municipios de Teoloyucan, Nextlalpan y Zumpango; al sur con los de Tultitlán; al oriente con Melchor Ocampo y Tultepec, y al poniente con Cuautitlán Izcalli y Tepotzotlán. El territorio original se redujo a la mitad, a partir de un decreto del Congreso del Estado en 1973, por el cual se crea el municipio de Cuautitlán Izcalli. La extensión del municipio es de 26.32 km² (INAFED, 2010). Ocupa el 0.12 % de la superficie del estado.

Y peor en las épocas de descuento cientos de personas y no avanza la fila. Mínimo 5 horas para poder pasar el turno. Todo mundo está hecho pelotas, el responsable de cada departamento no tiene idea de que se trata, ni cuál es su función. Nadie se responsabiliza ni por error. Menos te orientan. Señores de verdad. No exagero cuando les digo que existen más municipios a dónde se asiste y si la burocracia es tremenda al menos nos ha tocado que el jefe de alguna de las áreas te de la solución a tu problema. Aquí jamás en el ayuntamiento, presidencia, catastro y desarrollo urbano; te podrán entregar satisfactoriamente lo que requieras. Autoridades a quien corresponda este Fraccionamiento, les pedimos de favor que tomen este asunto en serío. Ya sea los que están o los que lleguen. Por sí fuera poco, aparte del agradable servicio te brinda un café o té mientras esperas tu turno, QUE NI TIEMPO TE DA DE TOMARTE LO, por la rapidez del servicio.
