★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really shows the true torture the spaniards inflicted on the Mexican people, all under a guise of religion. They wanted to force an entire country to change religions because theirs was "barbaric & the devil", ironic isnt?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too much talking and no too many things to see. My daughter wanted to see more.than listening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a 'no holds barred' depiction what the Spanish inquisition was like. Vivid descriptions. English narration does not mention Jews caught practicing their faith though this was the reason for such torture. 73 Jews were burned to death outside of Ex-Convento de San Diego, nearby. But many more died while being tortured and imprisoned. Site depicts cruelty and inhumanity that was part of Mexican history under the Spanish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place with a lot of detailed stories about the inquisition. They don't pull punches when describing the numerous atrocities attributed to the inquisitors of the Catholic Church. There are several period torture devices to see, though all signs are in Spanish. There is an English audio to listen to though you'll enjoy it more if from the beginning you realize that several of the displays are not presented in the correct order. Look around as you go for the exhibits that don't seem to be what's being described on the audio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far my favorite museum in CDMX. Loved that they had the English listening device to go along with the tour. Very educational and interesting. Takes about 60-90 minutes and well worry it for the price. Highly recommended!
