We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant when we were super hungry and on the hunt for Desayunos. We came to discover that this restaurant is run by Octavio, his lovely wife, and his two daughters, whom are all so very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately they did not have breakfast on the menu, but Octavio’s wife happily made me a vegetarian omelette with toast and fruit. It was very filling, to my satisfaction, as I have quite a large appetite. Their youngest daughter, Rosario kept us company while we ate and it allowed us to practice our Spanish, she is so sweet! Octavio also speaks some English and their prices were very affordable. It was so good that we came back the very next day for lunch and they absolutely spoiled us with loads of food, which was delicious! We were so grateful, we thanked them immensely and they seemed very appreciative of our patronage and were all smiles and filled with gratitude. If we were in zihuatanejo longer, we would frequent this restaurant more often but unfortunately only had so many days here. Excellent location too, located in Centro! Octavio even gave us his cell phone number in case we needed anything during our stay in zihuatanejo, which was much appreciated!

There are many good restaurants in Zihuatanejo but this is one of the best meals I had anywhere in Mexico. Everything we tried was elevated above your typical Mexican restaurant. Desayunos, juices, stuffed chicken, burritos, fish in cilantro sauce. We went several times after we found Palma Grande because everything was so good.
