★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for the best picones ? (a sweet bread) that is an icon to this small town. This is the best place to get them, but be sure to get there early in the morning they tend to sell out really fast. The lady told me the picones come out of the oven around 6 A.M. and then again at around 1 PM. This bakery is located right on the side of the highway, you will find lots of local vendors in the early hours of the morning buying all of the gorditas (another famous and delicious bread) almost exclusively made here, you can get wheat, heavy cream, pecan, and cranberries to name just a few of the type of gorditas available. Definitely a must visit place if you're close to Poncitlan almost needs to be on a bucket list lol ?
