★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un lugar tranquilo, algo desordenado pero un lugar perfecto cuando debes decirle adiós a tus seres queridos. Ya hay servicios sanitarios, hay una tienda justo enfrente y casi siempre hay agua para poner flores o echarle a las tumbas. Como todos los panteones, hermoso y lleno de flores el día de muertos.
It is a quiet place, a little messy but a perfect place when you must say goodbye to your loved ones. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grande panteón con muchísimas historias de personas que marcaron historia en México. tumbas antiguas con más de 100 años... Le falta mantenimiento en cuestión que hay mucha basura... Da tristeza ver muchas tumbas que ya no se les marca el nombre ni la fecha de fallecimiento, pero siguen sus tumbas ahí... Este panteón cuenta con 23 lotes de uso exclusivo cómo el de los actores de la ANDA, de los tramoyistas, de la comunidad italiana, de la comunidad alemana, el del sindicato de panaderos, de los maestros jubilados del S. N. T. E., el de la sociedad de alumnos del colegio militar, entre otros...
Este cementerio fue fundado el 13 de Diciembre de 1875, y en el año 1876 es adquirido un lote por parte del gobierno federal para crear la rotonda de los hombres ilustres por orden del presidente Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada y fue hasta el 24 de agosto de 1882 que fue abierto para el público en general.
