★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visitamos Chochola por negocios y por suerte nos detuvimos en el parador turistico a comer. Se encuentra justo en la entrada del pueblo y la verdad fue una sopresa agradable haber escogido éste sitio para almorzar. La amabilidad de la gente, lo rico de su comida y la hospitalidad fueron inigualables. Hasta nos ofrecieron hamacas y sillones para descansar luego de comer. Los precios, inigualables (comimos divino por muy poco) Repetiriamos sin duda!
We visited Chochola on business and luckily we stopped at the tourist hostel to eat. It is located right at the entrance of the town and the truth was a pleasant surprise to have chosen this place for lunch. The friendliness of the people, the richness of their food and the hospitality were unmatched. They even offered us hammocks and armchairs to rest after eating. The prices, unbeatable (we ate divine for very little) We would repeat without a doubt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those of you who enjoy driving around Yucatan, I recommend the town of Chocholá, 26 km southwest of Merida, on the road to Campeche. The town is best known for the beautiful cenote San Ignacio, but there is also a quaint tourist service center (parador turístico) on the road as you enter the town on the north side. Although small, it is a nice place to stop and have lunch on the way to Uxmal, Oxkintok, Campeche or to the cenote in town. The homemade food is great, the ladies are friendly, and they also have some nice local handcrafts. Chocholá is well worth a visit!
