★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took a tour of the distillery given by Luis and sampled 4-5 different mezcals at the bar with Jonathan and both experiences were super educational, fun and chill. Jonathan was able to help me find my new favorite type: cuishe. I was all pleased to learn About the coop style of the company: owner by 30+ families that make the mezcal in their villages and it is bottled at Paraiso where they have taken the traditions seriously and are so respectful of the plant, the product and the people. We didn’t get a chance to stay at the hostel but it looked beautiful; with a pool! I connected with Francisco via email through the website to book the tour and he was super responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend, even if you *think* you don’t like mezcal.
