★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La remodelación quedo de maravilla, un lugar para estar en meditación, paz y tranquilidad, el silencio al interior del templo te lleva a un momento espiritualidad. La arquitectura es una magnificencia, mezcla entre un diseño antiguo al estilo de las iglesias coloniales y lo moderno.
 The remodeling was wonderful, a place to be in meditation, peace and tranquility, the silence inside the temple takes you to a spiritual moment. The architecture is a magnificence, mixed between an ancient design in the style of colonial churches and the modern.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La iglesia del Calvario forma parte de los patrimonios culturales de Xalapa, en su interior se pueden admirar dos interesantes retablos barrocos que alguna vez estuvieron en el desaparecido convento franciscano de la Natividad de Nuestra Señora.
El primero de los retablos está dedicado a San Francisco de Asís y la comunidad religiosa lo conoce como el retablo de "Los Dolores", ésta alusión es por el sufrimiento que en vida tuvo Francisco de Asís; el segundo está dedicado a San Juan Nepomuceno, el mártir del secreto de confesión, ambos de manufactura regional.
The church of Calvario is part of the cultural heritage of Xalapa, inside you can admire two interesting Baroque altarpieces that once were in the former Franciscan convent of the Nativity of Our Lady.
The first of the altarpieces is dedicated to San Francisco de Asís and the religious community knows it as the altarpiece of "Los Dolores", this allusion is for the suffering that Francisco de Asís had in life; the second is dedicated to San Juan Nepomuceno, the martyr of the secret of confession, both of regional manufacture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Capilla pequeña, bonita, el coro de ese horario toca muy bonito, siguen los protocolos de pandemia y el cupo es limitado, se respeta la sana distancia, puntuales en iniciar la misa.
Se encuentra ubicada muy cerca del centro de la ciudad, por supuesto no cuenta con estacionamiento aunque a una cuadra la calle paralela tiene espacio por lo regular para poder aparcar el carro o bien, de plano, en la calle revolución a veces hay espacio para aparcar aunque en lo personal no me gusta dejarlo ahí. Hay un estacionamiento cerca pero nunca lo he visto abierto en domingo.
El sacerdote muy amable y oficia la misa de manera amena.
Small, beautiful chapel, the choir at that time plays very beautiful, they follow the pandemic protocols and space is limited, the healthy distance is respected, punctual to start the mass.
It is located very close to the city center, of course it does not have parking, although one block from the parallel street usually has space to park the car or, outright, on Revolution street there is sometimes space to park although personally I don't like to leave it there. There is a parking lot nearby but I have never seen it open on Sunday.
The very friendly priest officiates the mass in a pleasant way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esta parroquia es parte fundacional de Xalapa. Se erigió en el barrio Xallitic, uni de los tres que dieron origen a la cuidad. Tiene dos de los tres estupendos retablos que datan del siglo XVII y forman parte del patrimonio histórico cultural de Xalapa.
This parish is a founding part of Xalapa. It was erected in the Xallitic neighborhood, one of the three that gave rise to the city. It has two of the three great altarpieces that date back to the 17th century and are part of Xalapa's historical and cultural heritage.
