This a small museum-park with an awesome viewpoint from the top of the risks, what a beautiful sight.

Spent a really good couple of hrs here on a Monday. Went early to try and beat the heat and crowds. Loved that the hike is covered through the property. Sat at the wetland area quietly for awhile and observed several reptiles and birds as well as another small pack of a local animal that I can't remember the name of. Would recommend if your in the area for sure and need a break from the beaches.

Please ask about the time and cost of the guided tours before you arrive. Excellent bird and iguana viewing on the walking tour.

This is museum park around Archeological digs in the area, highlighting the indigenous people of this region (Mixtec & Zapotec). Temples, town & ball court are some of the digs that can be seen. There's also the spectacular views of the meeting between river and ocean. Highly recommended.

We dragged our feet before we got here. Shouldn’t have. It’s a beautiful park and you should set aside 2-3 hours to see it. Very friendly personnel and if you like to you can hire a guide. We didn’t. We were planning to come back with some friends and do it again with a guide but unfortunately that did not happen. Oh well next year. Part of the park is a bit steep so be prepared.

This place is a very good place to go to if you love history and invest in some really good bug spray. The information plaques are both in Spanish and English so you can more easily understand what your reading. The artifacts are quite interesting and the buildings are in quite good condition. The lookout is well worth the extra walk. My only complaint is that part of the park was closed so the loop to the lookout and back turned into a return trip instead.
