★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice park, with 2 caves. One smaller, and one bigger with an extended path. It reminds you of a scene from lord of the rings, where the fellowship went through the caves.

- Had zip lining
- Had park and slides for the kids
- Had a food court with different vendors.
You can come here for 20 pesos with one of the collectivo type buses. They are white with blue stripes. They are located if you google 'Farmacias del Ahorro Mercado' in San Cristobal de Las Casas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is well maintained but it was a bit boring for me and my husband. Maybe if you have kids they’d have a good time, but there is no much to do really. (We had a much better time at the Arcotete!)
The only thing worth the visit for us was the cave, but I recommend if you have a flashlight to be able to see more of the forms. We took the “colectivo” near the market ($20 each, one way), it drop you off at the park entrance. Park entrance is $10 each, plus $20 each to enter the cave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect day outside the city! We were looking for a chance to get out into the woods and Rancho Nuevo was a great breath of fresh air. We explored the caves - the initial experience was worth the $$, we did not do the additional guided tour at the end of the first leg of the journey. Must take a trip on the alpine slide, have lunch at one of the great sit-downs, and wander through the trees.
