★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This area is really good if you like long walks around a quiet place. There is a small lake and seems good to spend the day to the side of it with your family. The road that takes you to the top of the mountain is really long, so I definitely recommend going early to avoid the sunlight as much as possible and to carry plenty of water with you, or you can take the tour they give to take you to the top if you don't want to walk.
IMHO the reserve really needs money to take care of the animals it has and to have publicity so it can get more visits. I would not have a problem if they charged a small fee ($10 or $20 pesos) in benefit of the park, it's sad to see the animals in a small place with a lot of sunlight and limited water. Maybe add some safe cooking areas and places to do sports other than walking/running.
I liked the place a lot and the pictures you can get at the top are amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solitude is abundant. Good hike to the top via access road and side trail. Trails are minimal and could use a map of the park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am sure its a five star place to be with nature. However I am giving it three cause there is a fair amount of red tape to even set foot inside. This is valid as of today - Aug 14, 2021. I am sure it will change once the pandemic is more under control. I walked all the way here from centro to find out that you cant enter unless you have a reservation! You need to call a number - valid certain time and days of the week and take a reservation. I am adding a picture which has all the details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with the other reviews, no toilet paper in the basic toilets but a very nice place to go for a walk or an easy uphill bike ride. Take a hat and sunscreen if not visiting in the morning, the staff there will ask you to leave your ID to make sure everyone made it out at the end of the day.
A few animals that have been rescued are on display like a coyote, owls, raccoons, talking and whistling parrots, turtles and more.
Remember to take your rubbish with you and drink plenty of water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to get in touch with nature. Try wearing sunblock if you'll be there during the after as the heat gets a bit high. Riding bikes there is also lots of fun and adrenaline, especially when going back, as your start feeling weary. But still, taking the hidden roads is much better as they are challenging and rewarding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rough cobble stone street to walk to top of hill. Not very steep and option to take stairs just before the top. Beautiful view over fields and Queretaro. About 3.5 mile walk each way.
