★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Celestun is perfect for quiet get away. It gets busier during weekend but we stayed there from Sunday to Tuesday, and on Monday we had the beach almost for ourselves.

Try to visit during high season to watch thousands instead of dozens.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tour. We waited about half an hour, no one else showed so we went ahead and paid because I was dying to see the flamingos. They did not disappoint. Had some minor boat trouble, I believe he went aground, but another boat came and towed us out and everything was fine. Was about an hour and a half tour, stayed and took a million pics and videos for a good 15-20minutes once we reached the largest group. Then boated through a mangrove forest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth the drive and the cost of going. A tip though you pay for the boat not per person. So if there is 2 of you or 8 it's the same cost. So make some new friends in the parking lot and save some money like we did lol.
