★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Está iglesia es muy bonita, sus paredes están llenas de imágenes armadas por mosaicos de distintas partes del país, además ahí está el Cristo Negro y anualmente se hace una fiesta muy grande con danzantes, si no mal recuerdo a principios de diciembre.

Templo del Colegio de Porta Coeli
La historia de este edificio se remonta a 1603, año en el que se fundó el Colegio Dominico de Porta Coeli, el cual era un prestigioso sitio que estaba dedicado a promover la formación de novicios del convento de Santo Domingo; dicho sitio gozó de mucho reconocimiento durante en la época colonial, debido a que fue el alma mater de destacados personajes, tal como sucedió con Fray Servando Teresa de Mier, sobresaliente figura del México de aquel entonces.
De este modo, debido al éxito y el reconocimiento obtenidos durante un siglo aproximadamente, el templo del Colegio Dominico de Porta Coeli abrió sus puertas en 1711, convirtiéndose en uno de los sitios más representativos que existen en el actual Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México, cuya historia ha estado estrechamente involucrada con el desarrollo político, social y cultural del nuestro país.
Hoy en día, este peculiar templo es el único vestigio arquitectónico que se conserva del Colegio Dominico de Porta Coeli, por lo que goza de mucha popularidad entre los turistas interesados en conocer el pasado colonial de México. A su vez, este edificio religioso sobresale porque en su interior se rinde culto a una réplica del famoso “Cristo Negro” o “del Veneno”, imagen que guarda un estrecho vínculo con la historia de un caballero envenenado: según se cuenta, Don Fermín de Andueza se salvó milagrosamente luego de recibir los favores de este Cristo, el cual adquirió su mote negro tras absorber el veneno que amenazaba la vida de este devoto personaje
