Este templo está dedicado al apóstol San Mateo, cuya fiesta es el 21 de septiembre y domingo inmediato. La comunidad también venera a la imagen, del finales del siglo XVIII, del Dulce Nombre de Jesús, a quien se le atribuyen innumerables milagros para los habitantes de la comunidad, así como para sus visitantes, los mayordomos y fiscales organizan una fiesta el 2 de enero y una feria el último domingo de febrero.
Colonial temple built between the 17th and 18th centuries with indigenous labor, led by Franciscan friars. It has several renovations during the following centuries. This temple is dedicated to the Apostle Saint Matthew, whose feast is on September 21 and immediate Sunday. The community also worships the image, from the end of the 18th century, of the Sweet Name of Jesus, who is credited with countless miracles for the inhabitants of the community, as well as for its visitors, butlers and prosecutors organize a party on 2 January and a fair on the last Sunday of February.
