★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hermoso Templo Carmelita, su ubicación es perfecta para incluirlo en un tour por diferentes iglesias del Centro Histórico de Oaxaca. Tuve la fortuna de apoyar durante un tiempo en esta parroquia, dando pláticas, retiros y otras actividades pastorales, por lo que conozco bien su arquitectura y la forma tan hermosa en la que se expresa la fe de la comunidad.
Construido en honor a Nuestra Señora del Carmen, la cual es una de las diversas advocaciones de la Virgen María. La fiesta patronal se celebra el 16 de julio y créanme que si les toca visitar el templo en uno de los días de la novena lo van a encontrar espectacularmente adornado como lo muestra la foto.
El templo tiene todo el estilo carmelita, su altar, su retablo, su bóveda principal son elementos espectaculares que no se pueden perder de admirar.
Además del templo principal, el atrio, la plazuela, la casa parroquial y el ex convento (ahora arzobispado) son algo que hacen del Carmen Alto un espacio imperdible para los turistas locales e internacionales que llegan al centro histórico buscando qué ver.
 Beautiful Carmelite Temple, its location is perfect to include it in a tour of different churches in the Historic Center of Oaxaca. I was fortunate to support this parish for a time, giving talks, retreats and other pastoral activities, so I know well its architecture and the beautiful way in which the faith of the community is expressed.
Built in honor of Our Lady of Carmen, which is one of the various invocations of the Virgin Mary. The patronal feast is celebrated on July 16 and believe me that if you have to visit the temple on one of the days of the novena you will find it spectacularly adorned as shown in the photo.
The temple has all the Carmelite style, its altar, its altarpiece, its main vault are spectacular elements that cannot be missed to admire.
In addition to the main temple, the atrium, the square, the parish house and the former convent (now archbishopric) are something that make Carmen Alto an unmissable space for local and international tourists who come to the historic center looking for what to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iglesia dedicada a la virgen del Carmen, interiores de una nave en estilo de Cruz, en el altar mayor y al centro se encuentra la imagen de la mencionada virgen, es un templo muy austero en imágenes y decoración, y eso lo hace ver muy bonito. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved this little church. It was so quiet and peaceful. There were some ladies quietly singing at the time and it sounded so soothing and lovely. Outside there is a beautiful large courtyard with great trees for the hot sun. Enjoyable.
