It is very full of graffiti. I do not know why it paints without meaning and it looks bad that outside of a church it's written ... put @ Citl ....

Quiet and typical Michoacan town, with deep traditions. Places where tourism does not arrive outside of the celebration of the Day of the Dead.

The parish church of San Francisco de Asis, built towards the end of the 16th century and rebuilt between 1944 and 1947. Two bas-reliefs stand out on the frontispiece representing Tata Huriata the Father Sun and Nana Cutzi the Mother Moon (in her last quarter phase) . Already on the bell tower stands out a sculpture of volcanic stone that symbolizes a coyote. Inside the temple you can see a sculpture carved in wood of San Nicolás de Tolentino, dating from the 18th century, and I am struck by an image of the Virgen de los Dolores dressed as a “huarecita” in her typical costume. The parish temple still has a wide atrium delimited by a thick fence.

Weird place. They leave a dead dog in the middle of the road surrounded by market activity. Rigor mortis had set in already. Later on, cars drove around the dead body. Funny. Some men sat chatting nearby. Rude caretaker in the church. Maybe just a bad day? Creepy.

I wasn't sure if it was worth going, but it was. The architecture is quite unique here!
