★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Su origen se remonta a la llegada de los jesuitas, quienes establecieron la hacienda de San José Acázonica en el año de 1572, donde comercializaban con el ganado lanar que ellos introdujeron, trasladando sus rebaños de ovejas hasta el Paso del río Atliyac, de ahí el nombre, pues le llamaban el Paso de las Ovejas. Hacia 1818 fue fundado como pueblo por don Francisco de Arrillaga.
Its origin dates back to the arrival of the Jesuits, who established the hacienda of San José Acázonica in the year of 1572, where they marketed with the lanar cattle that they introduced, moving their flocks of sheep to the Atliyac River Pass, hence the name, because they called the Sheep Pass. By 1818 it was founded as a town by Don Francisco de Arrillaga.
