Fundada en 1927 e inicialmente llamada Ideal Bakery, Pastelería Ideal inicia su décima década ininterrumpida de operaciones en la Ciudad de México. Lo que empezó como un modesto expendio de pan en plena época de la Guerra Cristera, es hoy una empresa consolidada y bien posicionada en la mente de los habitantes de la Ciudad de México.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must try pan dulce from this bakery. Locals come from different parts of city to purchase bread here an resell it. Cost is at half a dollar per item ( excluding cakes, cookies and jello) but super soft and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have to see it to believe it! Dozens of different varieties of pastries arranged in a very large room, which you can pick yourself using a tray and tongs provided at the entrance. Prices are very reasonable, but bring cash as they did not accept card

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SHEESH. Wow. The gold mine of donuts. You have to stop here. Don’t worry, even if you fill up a bag to go, you’ll probably only spend like $3 USD. It’s a cool experience how you walk around and choose your donuts with tongs and place them on a tray too.
Affordable, delicious, and you can even enter other countries without declaring these sweets (hint, hint - a gift for someone at home).
