★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bernal it’s a beautiful little town about 45 away from Querétaro. I would definitely recommend coming here for half a day or longer, if is there stay for lunch or dinner. There’s plenty of food options in town.
From base of the Peña, you can take a moto-taxi to the main entrance or you can walk there. From the entrance, it takes about 15min by foot to reach the first viewing point. There is also a train option.
Good shoes and water is recommended as it is quite step and unprotected from the sun. Make it your early morning hike fo avoid the crowds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was good, but took excessively long to be made (like an hour). We were a large group, but the restaurant wasn't overly busy. The music was over-the-top LOUD. One speaker was directly behind our table, so someone in our group asked if they could turn the music down, and they turned that speaker off. But they had another speaker close by that made up for it, and it was impossible to hold any kind of meaningful conversation. Like I said, the food was good, but was a bit gourmet and expensive. Others in the group chose the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning town! Lots of food and & drinks available. Everything is super affordable and you can purchase guided tours of the town as well as winery tours ????.
Don't forget to try gorditas, buy some cheese in a queseria and buy from the local gift shops, youll be surprised with the amount of amazing gifts you can find here!
