 Excellent place to have breakfast even on Sunday because it is not crowded. The food is very good and the attention of the staff is first class in kindness and speed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mi familia y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de desayunar en Petate; el lugar nos pareció muy amplio aunque poco acogedor, no obstante el personal fue muy atento y en todo momento estuvo al pendiente de nosotros.
Si bien los precios son accesibles, la calidad de los platillos no lo es del todo, especialmente los molletes no nos encantaron pues los bolillos además de fríos tenían mucho migajón, asimismo los frijoles refritos extremadamente salados.
My family and I had the opportunity to have breakfast in Petate; We found the place very spacious but not very welcoming, however the staff was very attentive and took care of us at all times.
Although the prices are accessible, the quality of the dishes is not at all, especially the muffins we did not love because the bolillos besides being cold had a lot of crumbs, as well as the extremely salty refried beans.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good restaurant experience is a blend of service, food, ambiance, and amazing energy. Petate has it all. The servers are wonderful, kind, and responsive which matches the great food & good coffee! We've returned three times and will be back again this week. I highly recommend Petate!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Petate restaurant is one of those jewels you will read about in a future travel guide! We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner there during our stay in Mexico city! It is now destination restaurant when we visit.
Their service is prompt, friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, a good value and they have superb coffee and juice drinks.
The location is on a quiet street in beautiful Roma and they offer outside seating and have a marvelous rooftop patio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice food with goo to big portions. I had the fish with tree chili sauce (salsa Chile de árbol) and was hot but delicious. For drinking i had the gin tonic with red fruits and the mezcalina with fernet, just good to start the night. The place is big, clean and nice. Great service from everybody
