PHOTOPRO - 77712 Playa del Carmen

We had 12 pictures taken which were in Standard Quality meaning no edits except 2 black and white pics. These were taken in A Hotel (Royalton) in Cancun. After asking if it’s possible to have these in digital form they gave us a price of $180 for 12 pics incl 9 prints. This is a total rip off!!! Insane prices for just standard pics which were taken within 5min. It’s such a nice hotel but they should replace the photographers!! They wouldn’t even earn 1 star.

Had photos taken at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. Manager is extremely rude and pricing is outrageous. What a waste of time taking 131 pictures when I didn't buy a single one. You would make more money selling people digital copies at reasonable price.

Photos were fantastic but company price gauges. Company would make way more money if they offered a responsible price for digital download for all photos at resort. It is disappointing when you go to look at all so the photos and you can’t afford to buy any....kind of a sad ending to your vacation. I would almost have preferred no photographers on site so I didn’t know what I would be missing.

I purchased a photo packet at the Grand Riviera Princess resort. We had a great photographer If I'm not wrong her name is Federica. It's a shame I can't not say the same about their manager Carlos, super rude. He only promote the most expensive packet not even told us about the basic one. I had seen the sign with All the prices a night before I was there. but they had removed from the wall on Thursday. He was never willing to negotiate any other packages or give us more options other than a picture for $25 or 80 pictures with etc....for $1,659 or something like that. Every time another customer walk in The store he just ignored us. Requesting 2 different girls to attended us. That was very rude and impolite to leave one client to attend another one that just walk in. I just ended up getting 8 pictures for $125 Since he didn't wanted to deal with us. I paid him with $140 and he only gave me back $5. When I requested the right change he gave the other $10 back I felt robbed without a gun while the time I was there. It was a very uncomfortable time for our family. After he print out the pictures I found out my daughter had her eyes closed in one of the pictures. I asked him to change that picture he didn't want to do it. It was a bad experience dealing with that guy. No customer service, no respect for clients at all. Once again it was a worse experience dealing with PHOTO PRO.

Unfortunately, Photopro is not a reputable company, but a company that takes a lot of money for photos and does not get the promised performance. So we paid 160 USD for 10 photos including canvas in the Photopro shop Sandos Playacar (Playa del Carmen). We should have received this canvas in March, but we never received it! Several inquiries remained unanswered. There was also no response to the request for the canvas to be refunded! It's a shame, and not a good advertisement for the Sandos Playacar Hotel either, shame!

Horrible experience... while staying at the Hilton Playa del Carmen. I was approached by a photographer on my balcony stating they would do a professional photo shoot and give 2 free prints, with no obligations to purchase, because I was celebrating my birthday. After completing the shoot, I was then told I had to purchase at least 1 print (@ US$20/print) to get 2 free print. Total rip off and waste of time. Staying at an all inclusive does not mean you dont know the value of your money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST - CON ARTISTS WHO WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY This review is specifically for the H10 Ocean Maya Royal resort "professional" photography department, who Ocean Maya Royal reports is operated by "PHOTOPRO." I want to make sure that all future guests are aware of their unethical and poor business practice. I was a guest of the resort and was approached by the photography department. We had made arrangements to set up a family photography session. I ended up purchasing the photos that were taken and planned to give the photos as a birthday present to my mother. I was given a USB drive and was told that the photos would be on the USB drive. When I arrived back home, I found that the USB drive was empty. Zero photos found. I was unable to confirm the contents of the USB drive while in Mexico because I did not have a computer. I ended up having to go empty handed to my mother's birthday party because I was ripped off by the Ocean Maya Royal photography department. I tried calling to get my money back but was brushed off and was not given a refund (Employees speak LIMITED English which made things much harder). I strongly believe that I deserve a refund because I was not given the product which was promised to me. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. This resort is very familiar with how to rip off tourist and get away from it. They did not give me any kind of receipt (now I know to NEVER trust these types of places). They knew exactly what documentation "that I signed" to cover themselves. I was denied the dispute. I ended up losing hundreds of dollars and worst of all had no birthday present for my mother. I am writing this so other tourists are not naive when dealing with this company. They know exactly what to do in order to get your money. I would recommend staying away at all costs. STAY AWAY AND AVOID. If you are getting photos taken, make sure it is not from this company.

I had a great experience with Fernanda at Ocean Riviera Paradise on October 31st. She took excellent photos of me, with great locations. I never felt pressured to purchase the pictures. I can’t believe how they all came out so well.
