★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very elegant hip place that does not have decaf coffee or espresso for caffeine sensitive folks like myself - even terrible restaurants in Mexico like Toks or VIPs have decaf coffee. Also, the Pico de Gallo side I ordered was rancid, like more than a few days old. What gives from this fancy joint? How hard is it to buy a bag of espresso beans and store it way for when caffeine sensitive folks visit? How hard is it to quickly whip up a side order of fresh Pico de Gallo ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a must visit! Cafe Olla and chilaquiles are delicious. Cinnamon roll is solid. Staff is super friendly and the vibe is unique. It can get crowded during the weekend but the wait usually isn’t too bad even when busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. It has a distinct vibe that no other restaurant has. It truly reflects its past as a home in the formerly French and American neighborhoods and it blends it with the Mexicanness of its dishes. The chilaquiles you will find on the menu might sound a little bit strange at first but I swear they’re delicious. They also have a special preparation every day that is not on the menu, it’s usually something weird that actually tastes great.

The service it’s bad, the waiter was moody and not very kind. It felt like they were in a hurry to close, since they started to clean and store everything at 1:50pm (when they allegedly close at 3:00pm).
The prices are average.
The waiting time it’s 1 hour approximately.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food, ambiance and service, menu items hold up to descriptions and Instagram pics, the server warned us the hotcake order was large but we didn't listen ? there is a long line on weekends as they do not take reservations, but on a Monday it was very nice.
