We visited the Mercado Municipal Pino Suárez while visiting Mazatlán on a Princess Cruise. The market is located in the heart of the downtown area near the Cathedral. It is a vibrant busy market covering a square block of the downtown area. It has a huge variety of colourful shops, selling everything imaginable plus fruit, vegetables, clothing, spices, seafood and meat. There are a number of shops catering to tourists but the majority of shoppers were locals. There are several restaurants inside serving a variety of food dishes and several fresh juice bars. It is a colourful noisy place. This is a fine example of a genuine Mexican market. Do not miss if visiting Mazatlán.

We came too late as they were closing up shop, but the market did look very clean and organized.

The bigger of the few mercados in Mazatlán. There are busses from most everywhere to get you here. The food stalls are good and the restaurants upstairs vary from okay to good. Virus protocol for the most part are being GB followed.

Lots of tourist goodies as well as fruit and vegetables. Meats of all kinds. We even found yeast (levadura) at the spice/seed stand.

Best prices for souvenirs compared to any port in Mexico. You must barter do not accept the first offer. Take 70 percent off from the first offer and start from there. Once the offer is at 50 percent walk away and go browse other stores. They will drop the price. Dont be afraid to leave and come back later
