Pizza Roma - 06700 Ciudad de México

I do not recommend this place and am giving it one of the worst ratings I have ever posted. It's also receiving the longest story I've shared in a review. This place has "eaten" too much of my energy while not giving me a bite to eat. I cannot speak to the food - we were never served our food. Although we were seated quickly and at a nice table outdoors (by request), everything after we were seated was a disappointment. We ordered two pizzas. Both Detroit style. I appreciate that they serve both NY and Detroit style pies. We patiently waited for our food and watched as our waters ran empty. Service was so-so in returning to check on how we were doing. We were not provided a primary server and maybe that's where everything began to fail. At min 30, when asked by the server if we needed anything, we asked, patiently understanding pizza takes time, about our pizzas. The newest server asked which ones we ordered. We again shared, unconcerned, which we ordered. We patiently waited another ten minutes. When checked on by our third server we again inquired about our pizzas. The server asked us to confirm which pizzas. We again confirmed. The server pushed back that one of the pizzas was a different style than we ordered. We were confused, but confirmed our order. The fourth server, now 50min after being seated, checked on us. We asked about our pizzas and the previous server's confirmation of our order. The newest server located the third server and sent them to our table. Server three confirmed our order, for their second time, incorrectly. We shared we were becoming disappointed and concerned. We specifically shared that at that moment, 50min into our seating, we no longer wanted our food if it was not in the process of being made. We were told everything was fine. Considering all of the confusion and turnover we held little faith. At min 60 we received a new server who said our food was definitely coming. We shared the table beside us had arrived, ordered, eaten and left in the time we'd been seated. But... The server had no concern that order would take much longer. Another ten min... No food. We asked for our check and confirmed we did not expect to pay for the one beer and the one suero we had to drink. The check arrived ten min later and included our two drinks and two pizzas. We had no idea what to do. It seemed we could not complete anything at this restaurant in less than ten minutes cycles of confusion. We are not the types to walk on a tab... Ever... But I've never been in a situation I've felt hostage to a bill you should not be responsible for... We were concerned every other food establishment was beginning to close. It was 21:30 and we were hungry, sad, frustrated... Throw in all of the negative energy verbs. My friend carried the bill to the front desk in the hope there was a manager or someone of authority. No. The server left with our cash payment and said they would be back... Guess what happened... After ten minutes we had to request our check return and return with the change. We nearly walked out having overpaid just so we could get out of there. It was a second date for me and my friend. Our moods were soured. We both endured experiencing each other in atypical and stressful moods. Unfortunately, we watched each other struggle to maintain a grin. The date was ruined. We didn't share a positive experience with a positive meal. Unfortunately we shared a common distain for this place and negative energy. There was no third date. I really liked him too.

Love the NY style pepperoni & mushroom as well as the tomato & basil pizza. Such great flavor and the crust is divine.

What a great place to eat pizza in Mexico City. Their speciality is Detroit style but their New York style is amazing too. My only complain is that they don’t have any background music so the place is really quiet. Totally recommend the cherry Detroit style and the pepperoni New York Style

The Detroit-Style-Pizza is one of the best pizzas in the city (skip the NY style). Nailed incredible design of the indoor space to make the location loos like a cozy cantina (you can also sit outside). The service is great. Pet friendly (both outside and inside sitting available for dogs + owners) The pizza might take a while to get into the table (they only have 2 ovens).

Service was great, cute restaurant. The Detroit supreme was very tasty!

Very good pizza, really loved the Detroit style. The tuna starter was also delicious. Service however left a bit to be desired. Starter served alongside mains. Asked twice for more drinks and 3 times to pay at the end. But annoying! But the food was very good at least.

The cutest setting with lovely pizza and salads! Loved the vibe of the waiters as well -- felt really welcomed!
