Planetario De Cozumel Cha'an Ka'an - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

Really interesting to know more about Mayan astronomy & local planetarium.

This place will be amazing, I wish more people were aware of it. I can't wait to come back and see the planetarium show in the dome, but for today we enjoyed the Maya museum and learning about the importance of the shipping routes and the archeology and astronomy of the region. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke English for tourists like us. Thanks for having a great place! Lots of interactive exhibits for the little ones, too!

I have decided to come and visit planetarium twice the same day on Dec 2021 (great conjunction time). I have had an opportunity to watch interesting movie about Christmas Star and on the evening to participate in a session on the roof watching stars and understanding what’s above. Everyone in Planetarium was so friendly, from lady selling tickets, projector operator girl, astronomers. Definitely place worth visiting especially that visibility is extraordinary on that side of the globe. The movies agenda is as well changing so I’m sure you will be able to find sth interesting at the time of your visit.

Located within walking distance from the cruise ship port. Domed theater with shows in English and Spanish. Water conservation and Mayan education rooms. Quick food, snacks and drinks available at diner run by amazingly nice family. Movie and food was cheap and air conditioned compared to other excursion. Check it out on line for movie times and languages. Two ?? up for cheap, educational family entertainment.

With many events scheduled throughout the week, this planetarium is one of the more interesting yet less touristy places in Cozumel to check out. Have a look at their website for regular updates on events. The staff is very friendly and helpful and many of their activities are in English as well. Since Cozumel is unique in its location in Mexico and there is not much light pollution, this is one of the best places to see the night sky including the milky way and all the other wonderful stars above us.

A totally powerful telescope and wonderfully internet-connected to televisions. I asked them to show me where the men landed on the moon and they posted it on the screen. The nicest people and we are so lucky to have it in Cozumel. They have many special functions and the telescope is open Thursdays and Saturday nights. Love love love this

El observatorio o planetario de cozumel es hermoso, en el exterior de este esta rodeado de fauna, tambien tiene un sendero por la parte de atras para los mas valientes, solo que tengan mucho cuidado por que hay mosquitos y se los van a comer. Ofrece varios eventos o servicio dentro de sus intalaciones uno de ellos es un pequeno museo maya, actividades para ninos, la velada noctura donde te ensenan a localizar las estrellas en la noche y el domo digital. La velada o observaciones nocturnas, se llevan a cabo jueves y viernes, este tiene un costo de 60 $ mxn nacionales (Mexicanos) para extranjeros 130 $ mxn En las fotos adjunto el precio de todas las actividades In English The Cozumel observatory or planetarium is beautiful, outside it is surrounded by fauna, it also has a path in the back for the bravest, just be very careful because there are mosquitoes and they are going to eat you! It offers various events or services within its facilities, one of them is a small Mayan museum, activities for children, night observations (I recommend this one but it's not in English so you'll need to learn a little Spanish) where they teach you how to locate the stars at night and the digital dome. I'm just joking it's Mexican pesos :b The dome, has a function on Friday (only in English), and other days but I don't remember, the cost for this one is 131 mxn for kids and 157 mxn for adults (I recommend that you ask the prices)
