Sites are tight when you have trucks in the road. they are large. kinda stuck out in the road. the eletical pedestals are like 1 to 4 sites and 50 amps are only one at each pedestal. office was clean with bathrooms too. break was great. go out in the morning to snorkel!

Found this place from a FB Group called Rocky Point Mx Salsa. Stayed here New Years Weekend 2021. We arrived while it was raining cats & dogs. The rain quickly upgraded to raining cows & horses. LOL As we parked; amidst this record torrential storm, after quickly putting our 3 slides out, I noticed we were quickly taking on water inside our 5th Wheel. Ran to the Office. A member of their staff climbed up on top of our roof in the heaviest of rain and making two trips up & down the roof to repair a broken roof vent! Who the hell does that for ANYONE? I’m pretty confident friends, No other RV Park I’ve ever stayed @ would’ve even made the effort like the PDO Staff. Meanwhile, the power was out to all of Rocky Point for the next 3.5 hrs. So, I say all of that to say this: Playa de Oro is a better property than Playa Bonita! PDO has a gravel base whereas, PB has all sand. So if it rains, it’s not muddy. With gravel base, you don’t track sand in to your RV. PDO is a little more quaint, a lot quieter, and most importantly, they’re passionate about seeing to it their guests are most happy‼️ Call Mellissa to make reservations and tell her Hadley sent you! HNY! #StayAmazing

This is probably the best RV park here with nicer than average facilities....compared to the others. I rolled in late in the day frustrated after making the rounds & checking out the other camping parks. Was ready 2 forget my Mexican vacation & drive all the way back to the U.S. but I called Plaza de Oro which my GPS said was an hour away (!) but it was only on the other end of town. I found Jerry at the front desk 2 be courteous, professional & accommodating. He offered me a space with a ramada which made car camping much better & I stayed for a week. My only complaint was the trash. Even though a big trash truck came thru daily they never emptied the wastebaskets in the womens' restrooms or laundry. Restroom trash was filled with overflowing urine-soaked T.P. because the signage stated 'No T.P. in the toilets'. This is common practice with the frequent Mexican plumbing issues. However this indicates that the restrooms were ALSO not cleaned daily. Like Playa Bonita its just a big gravel parking lot with 300+ RV's sandwiched next to each other & YES its near the beach and yes prices are higher here so you would think cleaning the restrooms would be a priority. NOT.

We stayed in one of the suites and it was pretty nice, only a couple complaints! First of all is the way they do there deposit, they charged a $50.00 deposit that they will MAIL to us! 2 weeks! They need to come up with a better way! 2nd is the floor in room was really dirty! Not sure i would stay there again I would have to think about that really hard!

RV park is adequate. Restrooms and laundry are nice. One problem is the water smells like sewage so RV fresh water system had to be flushed when I got home. Also, if you want a view site, when you call for a reservation they will tell you they can't guarantee it but they will try. What they really mean is one is not available but they don't want you to cancel your reservation. It would be nice if they just honest with you. If you want a view of the water, check around, there are other RV parks. Spaces are small and on weekends, you can hear the Congo drums from the strip clubs near the park.

We have been coming here for years with family and friends. Due to Covid, we missed a few years and within those years they have added a small spa for manicures, pedicures, facials and massages and most of all the ladies are really great. Plus they updated their bathroom/ shower stalls and they look great. There are bars nearby, so at night it can be loud at time, but sometimes all it takes are a few drinks and you don’t notice it and sleep like a baby.
