Playa Grande Condominium Resort - La Culebra

We've been coming down every year for close to 10 years now so I can confidently say it's just the best. Everyone is friendly, the units are great, the amenities are just what you need, and nearby towns are perfect.

We enjoyed this place. But u need a car to stay here. Our condo was beautiful. The beds where the best we have ever slept on. Our rooms all had balconies w beautiful views!

Beautiful place and the developers are so friendly and so nice. The owner of the time share we rented double booked our room and the developers of the resort made sure we had a room as long as we needed and were so helpful, even though it wasn't their fault.

We stayed at the Playa Grande for a month from mid-January to mid-February, 2020. This complex is a little out of the way and there is not a lot of things to do within walking distance. However, the communities of Barra de Navidad and Melaque are a 15 – 20 minute drive away and there are plenty of things to see and do in both communities. Once we settled in, we found that we went to town every 2 to 3 days and were content to stay within the complex for the remainder of our stay. The cost of a taxi was 250 pesos each way which was reasonable and as a result we didn’t need to rent a car. There is a real sense of community here. We met a lot of people (Canadians mostly) around the pool and everyone, both owners and other renters, were friendly and helpful. The Manager (Jaime) and Assistant Manager (Tania) are both fluently bilingual and were always happy to assist whenever required. There is a small grocery store on site that has a fairly large selection of goods and they will bring in other items from their main store in Melaque upon request. The prices were very reasonable. There is a pool bar/restaurant on site (Benny’s) that is open until 6:00 pm. Good quality food at a very reasonable price. I do believe that Benny could win an award for his hamburger! The surf here is BIG. No swimming allowed in the ocean in front of the complex but the pools are very, very nice (there are 3 of them). The landscaping is lovely and the complex is kept very clean. There are barbeques assigned to each building and they are cleaned daily. Housekeeping is available for a small charge and they do a great job. Overall, I enjoyed our stay and should I return to this part of Mexico I would definitely stay at Playa Grande again

A jewel on the beach! Quality staff, efficient, English and Spanish speaking. Love the sound of the ocean waves day and night. Beautifully decorated condos, comfortable beds, quality furniture. Infinity pools were extraordinary and clean. The views and atmosphere are spectacular. A must see and stay place!

There is a turtle sanctuary on the beach near Playa Grande and turtle releases are open to the public.

OCEANFRONT! Fantastic quiet location with a great Pool Bar and Store. Sit on your deck and watch whales go by. Help release Turtles at sunset.

If we ever come back in Manzanillo, we'll definitely rent a condo here again. A pleasant place with very friendly neighbors.
