★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely perfect place to spend time in the winter! The units are each decorated and furnished by owners so large variation in amenities within the units. Not all units have in room wi-fi but almost all do. Staff is personable and responsive. Beach is perfect for me; great for walking, many large palapas for shade with chairs and recliners provided.
But what really makes us love this area is the many local really outstanding restaurants with very high quality cuisine. Absolutely best quality foods ever for what you pay. Also you can drink tap water anywhere in Nuevo Vallarta

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing views, unbeatable beach, very laid back condo living/vacationing. Does not feel or function as a typical resort (no restaurants, organized activities, etc) but there is a beach club and waiters to serve drinks poolside if you choose. Already booked our next trip and can't wait!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Playa Royale is comprised of interval ie timeshare and fully owned apartments. I’ve seen four units and most are well furnished, but this will depend upon individual owners. Not all for example will have wifi. Well maintained and clean. Grounds and beach are excellent. The kiddie pool is great for little ones.
Problems getting shade and chairs around the main pool. A small number of owners hog the loungers etc and put towels down to reserve equipment even though they are not at the pool. They think they have some form of squatters rights. This needs to be addressed by management
There are a few decent restaurants locally but little else.
