★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to Isla Mujeres on New Year’s Eve. We left early on the first Ultramar ferry at 9 am. It was a perfect ride, not too crowded. They had live music on the ferry too. A person on the ferry sold us a golf car rental from a company called ”gomar 2” on the island. The golf cart that we got was good but the place where we picked up the car is a 10-15 min walk from the terminal. Returning the cart was a little tricky because of all the one way streets in downtown Isla Mujeres. the return trip was crowded but Ultramar was super efficient with their fleet of ferries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Want to wait in long lines? If so, take the ferry across to Isle of the Woman. Better get to the island early as well or you will not get a golf cart. Great Olde fashioned tourist trap! Avoid!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ultramar ferry to Isla mujeres. Approx. Mexican peso 390 open return ticket , every hour. Quick, but can be 10-15 mins late. I would recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ferry was nice and clean, staff was curious and there were snacks to buy. They were running a but late, they have a schedule departing every hour but the 2 o'clock left at 3... So probably going on to just show up even your running late. I asked crew about it, they said it's hard to stay on time... Each of us were $19.95 US so pretty affordable!
