Huge, you can get here almost anything. The items are well displayed, wide selection, easy to browse through and find what you are looking for. The items all have price labels, but they are highly negotiable - the price flexibility also depends on the volume you purchase and your means of payment. Do take advantage of the tequilla and mezcal tasting! They have some of the best bottles open for tasting. We also tried the restaurant. Prices are not the lowest, but the portions were very big! See photos for temptation.

Plaza 28 is a joke everything is way over priced for what there really selling. So what I heard was that if you tell the busdriver on route2 to tell u when u get to marqueta28 they leave u in front of Plaza 28..... that's so messed up especially for tourist that don't know better they get bamboozled all the way home. ? They sell cheap stuff for 4 times the price. No thank you we walked 3 more blocks and there was marqueta28 The Bus drivers get money from plaza28 for taking the tourist to that Plaza28.

Horrible place. In all my travels I have never in my life been harassed more. The vendors surround you and hound you - you won’t have one moment of peace here. Head over to the calmer (smaller) Mercado 23 instead. Avoid this place.

Expensive, very expensive. Do people really pay $100 USD for a cheap bottle of flavored tequila or 2,975 pesos (about $150 USD) for an admittedly attractive painted skull? But they have letras de Cancun and Cantinflas, so I can't rate them as 1 star ?

Nice shop to walk around. Not too pushy. Much nicer than mercado 28, where the vendors are super pushy.

It’s a pretty cool vibe. We spent 2hrs there and I think that’s enough. We bought a few cool souvenirs as well. Definitely recommended!

Sadly it's such a competitive market when tourists come around the locals flock & haggle & it tends to be too much. The 1st store we stopped at filled us with tequila & then tries to sell me something for $125. I knew it was way too much & they were very sweet but an hr into shopping I found a nice Cuban guy who had what I wanted & didn't jack the price he was honest & I gave him $35 plus $5 for himself for being kind & not pushy. I've been to markets around the world & its so sad to see it this way. I appreciated the vendors who just said hello & come look. I didn't enjoy the ones who yelled or said come on its my turn. It's so competitive for the same items. I know it's a rat race but i was over it after 2hrs. Now lunch. Lunch was delicious in the center court. Red tablecloth tables.
