★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is always full of people whether it's day or night, so you won't feel unsafe. The food is amazing, the right mixture between local and international food. The area is also protected by the national guard, as well as the local police.
The hotels are very cheap in this area, and the beach is close enough.

We were expecting a zócalo like in must other cities, welcoming and bustling. We experienced a dirty place and unwelcoming atmosphere, all car parks in the immediate area closed around 7pm. Give this a miss, you're not missing anything.
