A place where many homeless people shelter, it is unfortunate to read the lack of empathy in the comments they make. They can help with food and clothing.

The square is full of homeless people and they use it as a toilet, it is full of feces and the truth is that it is very neglected. Hopefully they find a way to get that square back. It is very central and is always very lonely.

This plaza was part of the former convent of the Immaculate Conception. The convent included the chapel at the center of the plaza as well as the church across the street. Up to the 19th century this convent was located at the edge of the city and its gates were famous as it was well known, at the time, that when they closed for the night, the access to the city closed too. The chapel at the center is also known as the Chapel of the Death as it has been a refuge for the homeless for centuries and many people happened to die there. The plaza also marked the border between the old half-blood and European city and the adjacent burrough of Cuepopan, for natives only.
