Bullfighting art at its best, you must visit it before it disappears, it is true that the seats are very small and uncomfortable, but the quality of the event is worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se encuentra en el centro de Huamantla, es una plaza techada con capacidad para 5600 asistentes, la corrida de más tradición es el 14 de agosto en la noche, se ponen una alfombra por donde desfila la virgen de la Caridad, el Obispo y los toreros para que estos reciban la bendición de ella, se apagan todas la luces y la gente ilumina la plaza con cientos de velas se un un magnifico escenario, para posteriormente empezar la corrida de toros la famosa corrida de las luces.
It is located in the center of Huamantla, it is a roofed square with capacity for 5600 attendees, the most traditional bullfight is on August 14 at night, they put a carpet where the Virgin of Charity, the Bishop and the bullfighters paraded so that they receive the blessing of it, all the lights are turned off and the people illuminate the square with hundreds of candles and a magnificent stage, to later start the bullfight the famous run of the lights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Taurina is one of the best bullrings in Mexico. It has the mistery and classical scent of provincial bullring. Extremely well located it provides Mexican bullring scene with one of the most incredible bullfighting dates of the bullfigthing calendar: "Corrida de las Luces" Each August 15th, La Taurina joins the artistic and all tradition scent of taurine and catholic fervor in a single night with the colorful sawdust tapestry along the streets and within the Plaza's bullring during the entrance and the light procession of our Lady of Charity with all Corrida participants. Such a marvelous experience shall be regulated strictly by government and shall not allow what happened in last August. However this is an experience that shall not be missed year by year.
