Su nombre se debe a que esta plaza quedaba cerca de la residencia de Hernández Cortés.
Se le conoció también como Plaza Menor
Beautiful square adorned with typical species of our country, which form a landscape in the heart of the historic center of Mexico City, next to the Metropolitan Cathedral and in front of the Monte de Piedad building. Its name is because this square was near the residence of Hernández Cortés.
