My husband was scammed into buying me magic color changing earrings. There was a guy on the street that brought us in saying he knew us from the hotel bar (we had wristbands making us marks). I told my husband I didn't want the earrings because they were expensive (I knew they were fake), but I think he thought I really liked them and it was my birthday so he bought them. They also offered to take my wedding ring to the back to clean it, and I'm terrified what would have happened if I agreed! Unfortunately this scam is pretty well documented on Trip Advisor, don't fall for it.

I would give Don Tequila a minus 10 stars if possible! They are a total scam saying they’re tequila is so great that they charged me 5 times what it costs on mainland Mexico! He told me the bottle would be $40 but when I paid they charged me $4,000 pesos, close to $200! Then, when I caught it he said they couldn’t change it or refund the money back to me because there was a problem with the machine! I was livid and no one at the store would help me! Then, I reported it to my credit card company and they wouldn’t help me either. That card is now closed! Do not fall for their BS!

FAKE!!!!! WARNING TRAVELERS!!!! Do not shop at this fake jewelry store!! These people are liar's and thieves! They will charge you 10 times more than the given price when asked. You'll also see more charges after you return home! The tour guides are also in it, and they know we are tourists because of our resort wristbands! DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE! Stay on the beach and away from any of these lying locals! They have it out for us since they are aware we are vacationing and wouldn't typically check our accounts while on vacation. Someone stand for the people and stay outside of their establishment and warn others coming in to be robbed!!!!

Its fake jewelry people! Liars!! Scam!!! Thieves!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!! They will tell you a price and then charge your card more than 10 times the amount they tell you in the store! My card was charged 3 more times from the original purchase as well. 3 total charges! Don't believe them! The tour guides will tempt you t shop with them so you can get a "discount" so they're also in on the scam!

Total scam. Do not trust them! They target people on the ferry and walk you to their family shop. Won’t let you out until you buy something for 4 times the price they tell you. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Absolutely disgusting way to do business . SCAM

If I could facilitate the process myself to close this place down I would. My only bad experience of my trip. The guy total ripped me and my wife off back on 2/21/22. Tequila was ok that the brother feeds you while the other guy feeds you b.s. But changing up prices and all the deceptive practices used I cannot agree with. Something should be done. I'm out 2k

SCAM!!!!! The worst experience ever! Be aware - were were targetted on the ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres by the person in the photo below who said he worked at our resort and he would help us. When we got to the island he asked if we wanted to go to his family's jewerly store. My mother bought a very expensive ring. They said it was $400 and was charged much more than that ($X,XXX)! She wore it while we were on the island. Before we left she returned the ring because it was not what they said it was. They refused to issue her a credit, however we left without the ring in frustration. She immediately called her credit card company to put a stop on the transaction. The bottom line is the credit card company could not credit her account because the merchant will not honor their request for a credit. This is absolutely wrong! Please do not patronize this store. They are liars and stealers!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. While waiting outside for a golf cart, I was invited in to see jewelry and basically harassed into buying a necklace. That's fine, as I like helping the economy and supporting locals. I was told $200.00. The ticket was written up in pesos, I was told again I was paying $200 plus $16 in taxes and I agreed. I did not manually convert the charge to pesos. When I got my bill, it was for $286... I was overcharged $70. My credit card company won't help because the statement was in pesos which converted to $286 in dollars. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE BEEN SWINDLED, AND I HOPE MY POST WILL HELP JUST ONE PERSON
