★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ubicada entre el palacio de gobierno y el antiguo edificio de rectoría, es una de las placitas bien ubicadas del centro histórico de la ciudad. La verdad solo tiene el monumento a la independencia y unos kioscos dónde te pueden bolear los zapatos pero no dejen de visitarla

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una plaza pequeña pero agradable, se encuentra frente al palacio de gobierno del estado y también de la rectoría de la UACH, la estatua de Hidalgo en su centro y sobre la calle Aldama un memorial que la ciudadanía ha ido construyendo, La Cruz de Clavos. Hay cuatro "islas" donde dan atención boleros y llama la atención un Huizache bastante grande y frondoso en uno de sus costados.
Antes era la plaza principal de la ciudad, el balcón de palacio de gobierno daba hacía la plaza y ahí se daba el grito. Luego construyeron la plaza con el ángel y la Hidalgo quedó en segundo término.
It is a small but pleasant square, it is located in front of the state government palace and also the rectory of the UACH, the statue of Hidalgo in its center and on Aldama street a memorial that the citizens have been building, La Cruz de Clavos .
