En la actualidad mantiene algunos negocios como panadería, servicio de belleza, café internet, un buen lugar pero que ha tenido mejores años.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hace algunos años intentaron revivir la plaza con un atractivo bar en la planta alta pero no duró, igual intentaron utilizar el salón donde estaba el cine como sala de conciertos. Una lástima, ojalá y hagan algo bueno ahí.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La zona respeta el patrimonio histórico de la ciudad. La mayoría de los lugares conservan los pisos de mosaicos y es muy grato verlos en funciones. Al lado de la entrada del hotel hay una panadería francesa que no pueden dejar de visitar. No va a comer mejor pan en mérida que allí. Pastelería excelente.
