It is normally clean. Civic events are held here; it is Durango's equivalent to Ciudad de Mexico's Zocalo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located near many historical buildings in the city center, this nice outdoor plaza/park hosts a variety of events. There is a small outdoor amphitheater for music, as well as a small playground for children. In the winter, the plaza is turned into an ice skating rink.
