★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al área donde se asienta la plaza del Buen Tono se le conoce también como el Barrio de San Juan. Este barrio, uno de los más antiguos de la ciudad, ya existía con anterioridad a la llegada de los conquistadores españoles. La zona se denominaba con el nombre de “Moyotlán” en la época prehispánica y era uno de los cuatro distritos de la antigua Tenochtitlan. El nombre Moyotlán, que en náhuatl significa “lugar donde abundan los mosquitos” hace referencia al pasado lacustre del área, pues el barrio se encontraba cercano a las aguas del lago en dicha época.
The area where the Plaza del Buen Tono sits is also known as the Barrio de San Juan. This neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, already existed before the arrival of the Spanish conquerors. The area was called "Moyotlán" in pre-Hispanic times and was one of the four districts of ancient Tenochtitlan. The name Moyotlán, which in Nahuatl means "place where mosquitoes abound", refers to the area's lake past, as the neighborhood was close to the waters of the lake at that time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una placita muy tradicional. Los camiones urbanos ahí hacen parada, por lo que siempre hay carros. No cuenta con banqueta para caminar y la calle es doble sentido para los carros. Todos tipos de negocios los encuentras aquí. A 2 mins del zócalo de Taxco.

Encontrarás una fuente de color verde muy atractiva, dónde es una visión, el como expande su agua. Una estatua de Morelos situado en el mismo lugar, dónde representa la firma de un documento. A su alrededor de la plazuela verás restaurantes, cafeterías, pan artesanal de Taxco, helados, nieves y un mercado con gran variedad. Te podrás hospedar muy cerca de ahi, ya que cuenta con una gran variedad de hoteles que verás en este mismo lugar. No olvides visitar la plazuela de Taxco de Alarcón, donde tendrás todo para sentirte muy a gusto y no te faltará nada para estar comodo tú y toda tu familia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente lugar, se pone una señora que vende gorditas de chicharrón y tacos de chuleta ¡Los mejores de este pueblo mágico!
Había un McDonald's justo enfrente de la plazuela y cerró porque todo el mundo come en las gorditas y tacos, tienen 4 salsas buenísimas, mi favorita es la de jumil. Delicioso y barato, comes por menos de $100 pesos.
Excellent place, a lady who sells pork gorditas and chop tacos, the best in this magical town!
There was a McDonald's right in front of the square and it closed because everyone eats at the gorditas and tacos, they have 4 great sauces, my favorite is jumil. Delicious and cheap, you eat for less than $100 pesos.
