I love Popeyes, they have a good service, nice and clean place and good food!

I am a huge fan of Popeye's in the USA . I love the red beans and rice , jalapeño peppers and the Popeye's experience in USA. Popeye's Mexico is not worth going out of your way for, no matter how much you love Popeye's USA . This is nothing like it. When I found there was a Popeye's in Zapopan I went across town to eat there. What a disappointment it was. No red beans and rice, no jalapeño peppers. Just oversalted chicken with gravy that tastes awful (greasy?) on the potatoes. The corn on the cob claimed to be 1/2 ear and was more like 1/3 was overcooked to mush on the cob. No butter for (cold) biscuit nor corn on the cob. I can not believe that in Popeyes Mexico no jalapeños and no red beans and rice? Mexico loves beans and rice and jalapeños so this is like the stupidest oversight that Popeye's could make. There is nothing like Popeye's red beans and rice and I am sure they would be a hit in Mexico. I do not understand how Popeye's would tarnish their name with this second rate products sold here. I do not care that it is in Mexico it should have the same product and quality as in the USA and live up to Popeye's standards which this does not. They should definitely not represent the corn as 1/2 ear. Popeye's corporate... please defend the honour of your name and get this product in line with the quality standards in the USA. I would have never had this bad of experience at any Popeye's in the USA and find it unacceptable for Popeye's anywhere. I am sure church's chicken will win out in Mexico if Popeye's will be this low quality. Please remove the salt shaker from the cooks reach . Oversalting is always a problem in Mexico.

I don’t normally write a bad review but it happens. I wasn’t satisfied with how this store handled my Rappi order. I recently ordered 10 pieces of chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and corn and ONLY received the mashed potatoes and corn. Needless to say, I was charged and did not receive what I ordered. My Rappi returned to Popeyes and encountered employees that were stubborn and unwilling to fulfill my order although the charge to my card was already made as they reported it was already sent out. Honestly, if my Rappi didn’t have it, who did? Don’t worry Rappi will get a review too as no one wanted to take the responsibility to refund me the full amount.

Looked good at first but once I started eating the chicken seemed a bit undercooked but it was still fine to eat. The problem came when I smelled the chicken. The smell is absolutely terrible, like the chicken has had been sitting out for days and then they decided to deep fry it. Smelled like pure vomit. It was also dripping with oil. I asked for my money back and they gave it back pretty quick at least.
