★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very Negative Experience, Do Not Recommend
My wife and I recently traveled to Mexico City with our two children, ages 6 and 2, for two weeks. We wanted to rent bicycles for the stay. We chose Poray for two reasons. 1. They advertise a shop in close proximity to our AirBNB in Condesa (This is not really true, this shop provides minimal services). 2. They rent pull-behinds (they call this a “pull bar”) and child seats. Our problems were consistent from start to finish. First, our bikes were not ready at 10:00 AM on the first day of rental as was discussed when I made the reservation over the phone weeks before. We were then asked to commute to the other side of town to pick up the bikes at another shop hours later. This was of course a significant disruption to our plans for the day. Shortly after picking up the bikes, it was evident that the bikes were not well maintained. The rear brakes of one bike were constantly partially “braking” making for a very difficult ride. Shortly thereafter they broke entirely. My son and I also wrecked in the middle of a busy intersection when the hand grip suddenly fell off of the handle bar. Lastly the other bike required frequent realignment of the handlebars and front fork as this connection was loose. Given that the closest shop to our AirBNB does not provide any service or repairs, returning the bikes to the location on the other side of town was problematic and required even more precious vacation time. Lastly on the last night of our rental, the pull behind portion of one bike was stolen when we were at a local park. While the bike shop did provide 2 locks, securing basically 3 bikes (including the pull behind) could not be done in some instances with 2 locks without removing the pull behind, which we never received instruction on. Of course there was no orientation or introduction to the equipment or riding in the city upon pick-up. Lastly returning the equipment was also troublesome requiring visits to both shops and 3 more hours of our valuable vacation time. When I discussed our troubles with the shop at the end of rental, there was minimal concern about our experience, and significant concern about us compensating the shop for the loss of the pull-behind. In the end, the shop took off one day of our rental (a minimal and nominal discount) and charged the full price of a pull-behind. In total, my experience with this business was terrible and negatively impacted what was otherwise a great trip to a wonderful city. I would not, under any circumstance, waste your money and more importantly your time with this business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A MUST for anyone visiting Mexico City. My dad and I took this trip, and went on the heritage tour. Gabby and her husband Pablo do an incredible job making this tour personable, interesting, educational, and engaging. We had a blast!!! It was a highlight on our trip. We had so much fun sailing through the city with an expert on the culture and history of the city. Please, do yourself a favor and book this tour!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented bikes for a week, not in the best shape but not too bad either, comes to about 1330 pesos for the week which seems a bit expensive by mexican standards, but overall a good experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Save Your Money!
Save your money or consider another bike company. Gaby the owner of the company who does the tours lacks knowledge and worst yet, she need people skills. Broken old bikes. She was late and had an attitude with most of the people attending the tour. Most of the tour she ranted about politics and made her views on the Mexican President known. Her English was not good at all and we had a hard time understanding her.
However, her helper was fantastic! He was masterful at making sure everyone was safe.
For these reasons and many more I would rate this tour 1 star. ⭐️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did a tour on a Thursday afternoon and had a great experience. The guide was highly professional and skilled at navigating the harrowing traffic that the city is famous for. I felt completely safe. From my perspective it is a don't-miss experience if you are interested in gaining an authentic perspective of the city outside the areas of typical touristic interest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Take a bike tour with Poray and discover the true gems of Mexico city that are hidden in the buzzing streets or the tranquil nooks and crannies of Tlatelolco!
The tour begins at Fontán Reforma Hotel, where their shop is located. You're given a bike that will be adjusted according to your needs, as well as a helmet if you'd like one. My bike was a beach cruiser with a basket, which was ideal since I was dragging along my camera and water.
My guide, Danny, was a super enthusiastic, has been biking his entire life and would know the roads with his eyes closed, so needless to say I felt safe even when riding the busy streets. Our first stop was made at the Monumento a la Revolución, where he gave a brief explanation of the background. Then we went on to the Buenavista-Guerrero Corridor, where we locked our bikes and took a walk down the street that features murals that cover the entire building facades. Then we drove through the quiet neighborhood of Tlatelolco, to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where he gave a detailed backstory of the massacre as well as the history of the pyramids and the church. After this stop, we set off again in search for more murals all over town. We finished the tour with a light lunch in the marketplace at Plaza Garibaldi before heading back to the starting point.
Biking through CDMX, admiring the many pieces of art on the walls, gives you a unique perspective that no other tour will be able to offer you. The biking aspect of the tour is not strenuous at all, so I would recommend anyone to see the city from a different angle and hop on a bike with Poray!
