★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An experience that you must enjoy! This restaurant is beautiful, luxurious, and yet feels like being at a friend’s party. The service is quick and efficient, and always with positive energy and a smile. Servers become familiar and friendly immediately, but always remain professional.
Meals are exceptional! A wonderful menu full of tempting new spins on Mexican favorites, and other exciting culinary temptations.
The drinks are equally as exciting and energetic as the atmosphere of the restaurant. The servers know their guests right away, and are great at getting you to have just a bit more, which is fine by me because the drinks were marvelous.
Get dessert! You can’t go wrong. The Corn Bread might not sound very interesting, but it was incredible!
Menus are virtual, so make sure you’ve got good cell service and enough battery to peruse the menus. Guess that goes without saying. And if you can, get a table outdoors. The water view is beautiful! There’s even a small dock to enjoy for taking pictures and watching the sunset.
You won’t be sorry for reserving a table here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You come here for the ambiance. At about $100 CND a head, couple drinks maybe a piece, shared churros for dessert. Beautiful view of the water. Great ambiance. Worth visiting. The servers are very nice but slow. Struggled to get their attention at times. Food was decent - good even. Not fantastic. Would recommend. Good quality for the price if you’re Canadian. Large generous portions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful location to view sunset and have a meal. The front desk team was very friendly however the servers were unfriendly and that took me by surprise. They kept asking us for the wine list and my husband said he prefers a drink as I don’t drink wine and he can’t finish a bottle and that may have put them off. I don’t know what it was the way the server banged the drink on the table made us so uncomfortable. My rating is for the overall place and food but if I had to rate the service I would say 2 star. We ordered a cauliflower appetizer and the Guac with chips. Though I told them I don’t eat cheese they had put cheese in the Guac. Later we ordered fish tacos and enchiladas. They also serve a cookie which is traditional Mexican. A must visit if you love sunset and great music with a beautiful ambiance. Let’s assume it was a bad day for the server and he took it off on us and don’t let that deter your visit and yes! Their spicy sauces they served with on the house appetizer as in pic is really hot! A must try if you love hot sauces ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique experience and an amazing location on the sea.
Service is amazing and so is the show from the course presentation to the Fiesta with the dancing skeletons! We also experienced fireworks from the sea as part of this amazing experience.
The food was good, slightly less than expected considering all the rest of the amazing experience.
Prices were more reasonable than expected.
Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very trendy restaurant, and clearly very popular with tourists, as it was absolutely packed.
It's a unique place, part upper class restaurant mixed with pub, nightclub and hullabaloo bar. You can tell from the moment you step in that it's not going to be cheap.
The food is very different. The dishes are quite small but have a very unique take on Mexican cuisine. If you're looking for traditional Mexican food, this is not the place.
Overall, its a cool place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tonight was my second visit to Porfirio's (first visit was in Feb 2020) and again it was excellent. The service is stellar and the food is amazing. I recommend arriving early enough to watch the sunset on the patio.
Our hotel concierge made reservations for us and they also have online reservations.
From start to finish, it's a great experience. Be sure to save room for dessert. The churros are a delight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible staff & service! We have never felt so taken care of at a restaurant. They have thought of every single detail. The drinks were amazing & food, too! The bar cart was fun & unique & worth paying a little extra per drink for that table - side service. El pastor taco presentation was so neat how they cooked the food table- side. We were extremely taken care of & blown away by service & ambiance. Music was a little loud , but they played enjoyable music. The passion fruit mezcal cocktail was so good &, again , the presentation ?? complimentary cookies at end were a nice touch !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place by the ocean with very loud music and seating both indoors and outdoors. Good ambiance, great interiors. Menu is well presented as you can see in the pictures and is tasteful. I recommend the tangy tamarind margarita personally. Salsas and guacamole are tasteful too besides the cocktails. Servers are good and attentive- to the point that they start taking away your drinks or leftover dishes even while you’re still eating ! They were in a rush to clean up and won t let us be after about ten minutes of starting to eat - that was the only but big downside to an otherwise nice lively place- walkable to the best hotels like the Ritz and Hard Rock. Sewer starch from nearby did bother us a bit while sitting by the water. I recommend the place for a great evening. Great drinks selection.
