★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sede de la dirección de Cultura y dirección de turismo en el municipio de San Juan del Río, QRO. El edificio es muy hermoso, anteriormente ahí se recolectaban los diezmos y de ahí su nombre, dentro de él, aparte de las oficinas del instituto, se tienen galerías con exposiciones temporales, el archivo histórico municipal, la biblioteca Juan Wenceslao (primer biblioteca pública instalada en San Juan del Río) así como un foro donde,dependiendo del programa cultural del Instituto se presentan obras, recitales, o programas culturales.
Headquarters of the Directorate of Culture and Directorate of Tourism in the municipality of San Juan del Río, QRO. The building is very beautiful, previously tithes were collected there and hence its name, inside it, apart from the offices of the institute, there are galleries with temporary exhibitions, the municipal historical archive, the Juan Wenceslao library (the first public library installed in San Juan del Río) as well as a forum where, depending on the cultural program of the Institute, works, recitals, or cultural programs are presented.

Beautiful architecture. Well kept. But culturally poor unless I think there are temporary exhibitions. Enclosed spaces without being able to explore. Boring

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suele haber una buena cantidad de exposiciones y dinámicas culturales en este lugar que vale la pena probar. La reproducción de películas en su auditorio es muy ameno, fresco y con suficiente espacio para sentirte cómodo ahora en pandemia. Aunque si debo objetar que (al menos la película de ayer 20 de abril) hubiese sido mejor recibida al encontrarse en español latino o en su idioma original (inglés) con subtítulos.
Las obras que muestran en su galería son variadas aunque para comprenderlas o poderlas ver más profundamente a veces falta contexto del autor. En general es un lugar tranquilo donde puedes satisfacer tus necesidades (visuales y auditivas) artísticas.
There is usually a good number of exhibitions and cultural dynamics in this place that are worth trying. The reproduction of movies in its auditorium is very pleasant, fresh and with enough space to feel comfortable now in a pandemic. Although I must object that (at least the film of yesterday April 20) would have been better received to be in Latin Spanish or in its original language (English) with subtitles.
The works they show in their gallery are varied, although to understand them or be able to see them more deeply, sometimes the author's context is lacking. In general it is a quiet place where you can satisfy your artistic (visual and auditory) needs.
