★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best restaurant we've ever been too. Food is top notch; wait staff is the same. Piano player makes the ambiance relaxing and intimate. The U S. restaurants don't even compare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tie for my favorite restaurant at Secrets Akumal with Bordeaux. I had the Lasagna...best I’ve had. Desserts aren’t great but the Secrets Special app was very good. The app and main course make up for the honestly bad tiramisu. Skip the dessert here and grab some coconut ice cream from the Cafe!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are many options in the menu, and everything is delicious, we wanted to try several dishes and asked if we could get half portions so we could try more of the dishes and they had no problem with this request. Our waiter Oscar was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both Portofino and Bordeux are overly dark inside for some reason. The decor for Portofino is definitely more upscale. No live piano entertainment for the night which was a little disappointing. But the food definitely made up for it. The best was the Osso Buco. Huge chunk of tender fatty meat on a giant bone. If we're weren't pretending to be at a sophisticated Italian restaurant, I would have picked it up and tore the meat right off with my teeth.
