Great place, quiet, safe, nice rooms great location, and moises restaurant next to posada madrid is the best in town

No air con, roasting hot. Friendly staff with a bike service - the bikes are not great however

This place is just amazing, the attention to detail is great, the beds are cozy and comfy, it's amazing how cheap this was for a 6 days stay. You should stay here! It has A/C!

Posada Casa Madrid is a good place to stay when visiting Bacalar, the staff is friendly. This place is located near the lagoon and Downtown. For the price is an excellent place

Nice clean place. Good location nice staff. Please change the shower head in room 2 it was awful and drains of shower and sinks need to be cleaned better!!!!

Antonio was very accommodating and helpful. He made excellent suggestions, gave me his cellular phone number so I could reach him, if necessary and was very kind. Our room was spacious, extremely clean, and the most important thing about a hotel room: the bed was very comfortable. The first bonus was the excellent air conditioning. The second bonus was the awesome water pressure in the shower (the best I've had in Mexico). The hotel was very secure. The front gate was locked at 22:30, but a text to Antonio resulted in quick access. There's plenty of on street parking and I felt my car was secure on the street. Downstairs, in the same building, is a pharmacy, there's a small store with a selection of food items, drinks, etc, right around the corner. Anything you need is within walking distance. The main plaza of Bacalar is a short walk and there are restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The lagoon was less than fifteen minutes away by foot. When I return to Bacalar for a longer stay, I will definitely return Posada Guadalupe.

This hotel was really great. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms were ample with a very comfortable bed and a nice A/C unit. The lagoon and zocalo were only a 10-minute walk filled with amazing fondas that had delicious food for very fair prices. The only inconvenience was the internet being spotty at times, but too be honest: we shouldn't be online so much at such a fun place like Bacalar.

Very unreliable- cancelled my reservation waiting outside locked hotel in hot sun for an hour. I am backpacking and after suffering heat stroke and migraine, I decided to book a hotel so I could recover. This property seemed perfect. I showed up at 3:45. Check-in started at 3. The hotel was locked. I sent the property messages on the booking.com app. They did not reply. I contacted booking.com and they gave the property half an hour more to respond. At the end of the half hour, the property cancelled my reservation. I sat on the side of the dusty, extremely hot road an hour just to have the property cancel on me, with no apology or explanation. I was extra sick after all this. I would not plan a vacation around this hotel. Too unreliable.
